Willie Frank Evans Jr., 56, of Lorain, sadly departed the physical and transitioned to eternal peace on Saturday, December 16, 2023.
“Chill Will” as he was affectionately known, was born to LaVinia and Willie Sr. on December 1, 1967 in Elyria, Ohio. He spent his childhood hanging with friends, spectating sports, and fishing with his father.
During his adolescence, he realized his entrepreneurial niche. He always found a skill he enjoyed and made it not only beneficial but profitable. This character trait followed him into adulthood. He was a natural born entertainer who loved music, photography, videography, sports, and gaming. Recently, he was learning business management techniques in online courses and in person classes.
Willie spent a lot of time in his community attending functions, festivals, and tournaments. He loved barbecues, sporting events, and any gathering that involved good music and great food. Willie was a life-sized teddy bear who was known to vocalize his feelings, opinions, and crack jokes. He was a compassionate person who loved out loud and didn’t mind telling and showing others. His genuine spirit was contagious. His energy was captivating and it’s guaranteed he’d have you crying laughing.
Chill Will leaves to cherish his memory six children: Willia, Willie III (Woo), Jasmine, Destinee, Dierre, and Eiona, two sisters: LaVinia (Tinker) and Ernestine (Vickie); sister-in-love, Vonetta McLemore, and one brother, Anthony. He loved and adored his 8 grandchildren: Deianna, Emani, Armani, Eric Jr, Demi, Easton, Kadonis, and Emir. He will be terribly missed by his canine companion, Kobe. He leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, a special aunt, and tons of relatives, friends, and “fantasies”.
He was preceded in death by his parents, LaVinia and Willie Sr., brother Thomas, and sister Jerri.
