William Fiske Jr., 73, of Sandusky, passed away Friday, May 17, 2024, surrounded by his loving family, in Stein Hospice Care Center following a lengthy illness. He was born August 3, 1950 in Sandusky, where he spent most of his life. He also lived in Lorain.
William graduated from Sandusky High School in 1968. He was an outstanding athlete, and he ran on the school’s cross-country team. After William graduated high school, he began working for Ford Motor Company in Lorain until he was transferred to the Avon Lake Ford plant. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 36 years of service. He was a member of UAW Local 425 and Local 2000. William was a Mason and was a member of the Old School Lorain Groove Club. He attended New Hope Baptist Church in Lorain.
William enjoyed playing basketball, tennis, shooting pool, bowling, and traveling. He was also known for his music, which was his old-school album collection.
He will be sadly missed by his children, Kyra (Eric Hill) Amison, William (Felicia) Fiske III, Adam Boyd, and Latishia Fiske; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; his brother, Delonce Fiske, and sister, Linda Fiske; a host of other loving family and friends.
William was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Fiske (née Ward); a daughter, Nicole S Fiske; his parents, William Sr. and Ethel Louise Fiske (née McCellan); his brothers, David Fiske, Melvin Fiske, and Samuel Fiske; his sisters, Carol White, and Barbara Collins.
A visitation hour will be held Friday, May 24, 2024, from 12 PM until time of his funeral service at 1 PM at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home, 1814 Milan Road, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
On Saturday, May 25, 2024, a viewing will be held from 10-11 AM at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home, 2652 Broadway Ave, Lorain Ohio 44052, followed by a procession departing from the Lorain funeral home at 11AM for the burial at Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain.
