Wanda Faye Hitchens-Moon, daughter of Dalton Ray and the late Rose Marie Hitchens was born, May 21, 1968 in Lorain, Ohio. On August 18, 2021, Wanda departed this life in her home. Wanda was a member of Living Word Church. She graduated from Clearview High School in 1986 and received her degree in Practical Nursing from Lorain County Community College in 2004 and was licensed by the State of Ohio. Wanda has been employed in the nursing field for over 15 years and received her 5-year pin of employment from Ford Motor Company in 2021. Wanda married the love of her life, Joseph Devon Moon, on October 10, 2015. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved to spend time with her family. Wanda loved to shop, travel and gamble. She was very stylish, and her hair always looked nice. She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Sierra (Quardell Graham) Clark; one son, Roy Clark Jr; two step-daughters, Alexxis L. Moon and Taryn Marie (Matthew) Mason; five grandchildren, Damir Mosley, Davion Mosley, Saniyah Jones, Nasir Graham, Cayden Graham; four step-grandchildren, Maliah Mason, Mylynn Mason, Matthew Mason Jr, and Miami Mason; four brothers, Ronald Hitchens, David (Rhonda) Hitchens, Brian Hitchens, and Christopher(Rose) Hitchens; seven sisters, Lisa Hitchens, Terri Hitchens, Allison (John III) Hairston, Cassandra McIlwain, Kim Hitchens, Bridgette Hitchens, and Angela Hitchens; goddaughter, Cassie Lauderdale; godson, Zavion Francis; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rose Marie Hitchens; three brothers, Bruce Hitchens, Troy Hitchens, and Dalton Hitchens Jr.; one nephew, Jordan Lawrence; one niece, Simone Hitchens; and grandmother-in-law, Daisy Blair. A walk-through viewing will be Saturday, August 28, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Greater Victory Christian Ministries, 559 Reid Ave, Lorain. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
