Tyrone Anthony Wilson

Tyrone Anthony Wilson, 63, of Lorain, Ohio passed away at his home on Sunday, January 5, 2025, following a lengthy illness. Tyrone was born February 14, 1961, in Lorain, Ohio, where he was a lifelong resident. 

Tyrone graduated from Lorain Admiral King High School in 1979. While in high school, he played football and ran track. He was an outstanding athlete. He was also into boxing. After high school, Tyrone enlisted into the United States Army, where he received an honorable discharge. Before being diagnosed with MS, Tyrone worked for US Steel. 

Though he was diagnosed with MS, his athletic ability was not totally overtaken. He participated in the Paralympics where he received medals in bowling, fishing, and shooting pool. Tyrone enjoyed fishing, barbecuing, and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. He was also known for being the family historian and remembering everyone’s birthday.

Tyrone will be sadly missed by his companion/spouse of 35 years, Francine Clayton; one daughter, Keyla Clayton; sons, Christopher Clayton, Devan Clayton, Timothy Clayton, and Nate Clayton; 25 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren; his sisters, Stephanie Wilson, Kimberly Wilson, Yvette Davis-Luter, and Tamara Wilson; a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.

Tyrone was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Wilson; his mother, Jeanette Wilson; and his grandparents, Clyde and Jaolia Calhoun, and Daniel and Clara Wilson.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home & Celebration Center, 6075 Middle Ridge Rd., Lorain, OH 44053.
