Todd Eric Coleman Sr., 63, of Lorain, passed away unexpectedly at his home on June 1, 2024. He was born on April 4, 1961, in Lorain, Ohio, to the late Sherry Shine (née Coleman) and Luther Nix.
Todd was a graduate of Admiral King High School, Class of 1979. He worked for the City of Lorain for over 20 years before being medically retired. Todd later moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where he thrived and loved living before returning to Lorain. He also enjoyed playing pool and basketball when he was in high school. He was known as a hard worker and a jack of all trades.
Todd is survived by his sons, Todd Coleman Jr., Travon Coleman, LaFonze Phillips, and Kevon Coleman, all of Lorain; daughters, Parris Carter-Springer of Lorain, and Keena Cavin Jr. of Columbus; a brother, Scott Coleman Sr. of Lorain, and sister, Celeste Greenhill (nee Shine) of Celina, Texas; an aunt, Janice Collins of Lorain, and uncle, Kevin Coleman; 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and 5 nieces and nephews.
Todd was preceded in death by two sons, Jerome Phillips and Brandon Coleman Sr.; and his parents, Sherry Shine and Luther Nix.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 12 pm until the time of service at 1 pm at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home, 2652 Broadway Ave., Lorain, Ohio 44052.
