Tina Lue Renthy Smith

Tina Lue Renthy Smith, 59, transitioned from this life on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. She was born on February 14, 1962 to the late Herbert James Smith and Dorothy Smith. She was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Lorain, Ohio 3 years old ago. Tina completed New York Business School in 1987. She worked as a Home Health Aide in New York City from 1998 to 2000. Tina was known in her community as a kind person. She was baptized at Concord Baptist Church in New York City. Tina became ill in 1996 and had been suffering a longtime illness. In May 2021 she suffered a stroke and was placed into a nursing facility. In November 2021 she was admitted into Mercy Regional Medical Center of Lorain where she made her transitioned six days later. Tina leaves behind 3 children, Tina Tiana, Dwana Earlyne and Naquan Shaheem, all residing in Lorain; 9 grandkids, Tanaya, Malaysia, Malachi, Jameer, Tymeer, Edwin Jr, Damien, Le’Ana and Naquan; her mother, Dorothy Smith of Detroit, Michigan; sisters Gina L. Smith-Oliver of Brooklyn, New York and Cynthia Seabrooks of Detroit, Michigan; uncle, John R. Smith; an aunt, Joyce Pearson; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and honorary sister, Sharon McCall. In addition to her father, Tina was preceded in death by her grandparents, Raymond and Earlyne White.
