Timothy Eric Atkins

Timothy Eric Atkins, 56, of Lorain, sadly departed us on February 2, 2024, in Mercy Regional Medical Center of Lorain following a lengthy illness. 

Timothy was born in Peekskill, New York on August 15, 1967. He graduated from Peekskill High School, Class of 85. He loved listening to music and dancing. 

Timothy’s memory will be cherished by his loving and devoted wife of 22 years, Marie Atkins; four daughters, Shawn’ye Atkins Murphy of Alabama, Aliya Walker, Racheal Walker and Teyana Cowan, all of Beacon, New York; two sons, Jordan Eric Atkins of Lorain, and Timothy Eric Atkins Jr. of Beacon, New York; his mother, Willie Mae Atkins of Ohio, and father, Hilton Lassiter of Pennsylvania; his brothers, Fletcher Lee Atkins Jr. of Lorain, Benny Lassiter of Richmond, Virginia, Chris Lassiter of Texas, Trey Hill of Norfolk, Virginia, and Josiah Baltimore; his sisters, Nicole Baltimore of Pennsylvania, Tany Lassiter of Charlotte, North Carolina, Vanessa Horning of Norfolk, Virginia; a sister-in-law, Elena Pierre of Lorain; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives. 

Timothy was preceded in death by his stepfather, Fletcher L. Atkinson. 

Visitation will be held Friday, February 9, 2024, from 10:00am until the time of his funeral service at 11:00am at God’s Kingdom, 423 Washington Ave, Lorain, Ohio, where Bishop Charles Howard, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
