Thomas A. Sanford, Sr., 71, passed away January 13, 2023 in New Life Hospice of Lorain. Thomas was born February 26, 1951 in Nashville, Tennessee and lived in Lorain, Ohio most of his life. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He retired from Ford Motor Company following 35 years of service. He was a member of UAW Local 2000 where he served as a union representative. He enjoyed bowling, shooting pool, listening to jazz music and was an avid fisherman. He is survived by his three children, Andrea R. Sanford-Turton, Kimberly M. Thomas (David) and Thomas A. Sanford Jr; 8 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; his mother, Annie B. Sanford; his brother, Curtis L. Sanford; his sister, Jennifer Sanford; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marva A. Sanford; his father, Thomas D. Sanford; a brother, Larry Sanford, and a grandson, Marlo L. Sanford. Visitation will be held from 11AM until time of funeral service at 12 Noon on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home, 2652 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Burial will be at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst.
