Stephen Irby, 60, of Sandusky, named after the great Stephen Allen, creator of the Tonight Show, completed his journey on Thursday October 28, 2021. He was born on Thursday June 1, 1961 to Mattie Ruth (Richey) Irby & Samuel D. Irby Jr. Stephen enjoyed fashion and was known for wearing sunglasses. He loved family gatherings and watching wrestling. He was employed at Wilbert Plastics in Bellevue, Ohio where he was a tow motor driver. To carry his legacy and honor, he leaves behind 3 children, Shameka′ La′Toria (Jamar) Owens and Giovahna Darden, both of Sandusky; 1 son, Stephen La′Darius Moore of Columbus, Ohio; 7 grandchildren, J′marshion, Kenneth, Christopher, Omari, Christtavayon and Stephon, Zuri; his parents, Mattie Ruth and Samuel D. Irby Jr. of Sandusky; 2 sisters, Annette Rhodes of Hawthorne, California and Samantha Buck of Chicago, Illinois; 1 brother, Danny Irby of Indianapolis, Indiana; his special friend, Sue Ann Beckley of Sandusky, along with a multitude of other relatives, friends, acquaintances and co-workers. Stephen was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edwina & Charlie Richey and Seenie & Samuel Irby, along with his daughter, La′Treshia D. SowersEl. Visitation will be Thursday, November 4th, from 10:06 a.m. until time of service at 12 Noon at Faith Memorial Church, 1320 Strub Road, Sandusky OH. Pastor Darrell Gant of Eagles Nest Church International, Sandusky, to officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Wearing a mask is required.
