Shayne D Edwards Jr

Shayne Darrell Edwards Jr., 14, of Elyria, passed away unexpectedly Monday, September 12, 2022. He was born February7, 2008, in Elyria, and was a lifelong resident. Shayne was a freshman at Elyria High School. He enjoyed his time with his family and friends. Shayne loved to take vacations. He enjoyed taking boat rides, riding ATV’s and going to new places with his family. Shayne also loved playing video games, listening to music, and watching Youtube. His favorite pastime snacks and food include Taki’s, Doritos, Chipotle, Little Debbie snack cakes, and Sprite. Shayne was looking forward to getting his first job, so that he could get his driver's license and start planning to buy his first car. Shayne will be sadly missed by his mother, Kristin Thacker (Markell) and siblings Kamron Thacker and Zah’Niyah Edwards; his father, Shayne Edwards Sr. (Melissa) and siblings Nevaeh Edwards, Darrell Edwards, Dion Edwards; grandparents, David and Sally Thacker, Germaine Graham, Curtis “Snag” Graham, and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Shayne was preceded in death by his grandfather, Derrick Edwards Sr., his great grandparents George and Lela Hagler, Emma Jean Edwards, George and Jenny Thacker and aunt, Joyce L. Axford. Visitation will be held Tuesday September 20, 2022 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, September 21st with an hour of fellowship starting at 10:00 am until the service at 11:00 am. Both Visitation and Celebration Service will be held at the Elyria Community Church of the Nazarene located at 1107 Clemens Avenue in Elyria Ohio 44035.
