Sandra Mae Scott

Sandra Mae Scott, 83, of Lorain, passed away Monday, April 22, 2024, at Mercy Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She was born in Maybeury, West Virginia, June 12, 1940, and had been a resident of Lorain since 1953.  

Sandra was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church where she served as the church’s secretary for many years. She was an avid bowler and was a loyal Cleveland sports fan of baseball, football, and basketball. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family.  

She is survived by her son, James Stanford of Akron; six grandchildren, Noelani Kanela Mae Stanford, Kimo Stanford, David Stanford, Amanda Stanford, Hailey Bores, and Breanna Hope Stanford; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Bettye Sutton and Susan Church; and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives. 

Sandra was preceded into death by her parents, Clyde and Mary Jackson Sr., and a brother, Clyde Jackson Jr.  

Visitation hour will be held on Saturday, May 4th, from 11AM until the time of her funeral service at Noon, at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home, 2652 Broadway Ave, Lorain OH 44052.
