Rosemary Hisle, 84, of Lorain, passed away March 25, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Rosemary was affectionally known as “Rosie”. She was born January 18, 1941, in Lorain, where she was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Lorain High School in the class of 1959. While in high school she was in the orchestra where she was the first chair violinist.
Rosemary retired from Mercy Regional Medical Center after 47 years of service. She held the position of Dietary Manager and was a member of the Dietary Managers Association.
Rosemary was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Lorain, where she was part of the music department, Women’s Ministry, Hospitality Committee, and Sunday school.
Rosemary was known for having a green thumb and for her wonderful cooking. She also loved traveling and spending time with her family.
Rosemary is survived by her two daughters, Tamaron Wilson of Lorain and Terese Hisle of Atlanta, GA.; eight grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; one sister, Gloria May Gettys; and other loving relatives and friends.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Hisle, and her parents, Thomas and Lillian Sylvester.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 7, 2025, from 10:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1516 East 30th Street, Lorain Ohio 44055. Rev. Shirley Howard, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at Elwood Cemetery in Lorain, Ohio.
