Rhonda Lee “Tipton” Smedley

Daughter of the late James and Hazel L. Tipton was born August 24th, 1956, in Lorain, Ohio. She exited this earth on January 10, 2022, due to Covid and a stroke.
 
Rhonda attended Lorain city schools. She was a Jehovah Witness who enjoyed every aspect of the Kingdom Hall. She also loved driving her 18-wheeler. She worked for Laidlaw bus services and bartended for many years.
 
She is survived by her devoted husband of 45 years, Sterling Smedley, Sister, Twila Tipton of Lorain, Brother, Gordon (Brenda) Tipton of Lorain, Sister-in-Law, Kim Smedley of Cleveland, Daughter, Dawn (Kenneth) Tipton Orr of Cleveland, Son, James Tipton of Grafton, Nieces, Tiarra Lewis and Princess Mya Lewis of Lorain, Special daughter, Ishikia (Gary) Bennett of Georgia, Special nephew, Tyrese Taylor of Lorain and Grandpup Tobias of Cleveland.
 
She was proceeded in death by her parents, grandson Jeremiah Orr, aunts and one uncle.
 
Mom will be truly missed. Although she is gone physically, she will continue to live spiritually through all that knew and loved her.
 
A celebration of life will be held Monday, January 17, 2022, 3p.m. to 5p.m. at Nettie’s Place, 3680 Pearl Ave, Lorain, OH 44055
