Paul Truett Wilson was born on August 17, 1947 in Lorain, Ohio. He passed away on November 28, 2022 following a brief illness. A longtime resident of Lorain, Ohio, Paul had been employed by the U.S. Steel Corporation for 19 years. Additionally, as a member of the Black AC’s, Paul participated on the Lorain Black AC’s Championship Softball Teams; the 1976 Rosie’s Pizza Touch Football City Champs and he played semi-pro football. He also enjoyed playing cards and attending sporting events. Paul is survived by four children: Paul Brian Wilson (Delora) of Columbus, OH, Darrell K. Wilson of Los Angeles, CA, Monica Stewart of Atlanta, GA, Jamaal Burris (Carissa) of Jacksonville, FL, a step-son Anthony Comer of Lorain, OH, eight grandchildren: PJ Wilson, Esten Wilson, Kara & Kayla Stewart, Jeremiah, Amir, Miles & Sammy Burris, his siblings: Jim Murray (Geneva), Johnnie Wilson (Helen), Thomas Wilson (Marie), Beverly Epps (Evans), Gene Wilson, Audrey Wilson, Wayne Wilson (Adrienne), Rosemary Bellamy (William), Craig Wilson (Susan) and Freddie Wilson (Pilar). Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Gladys and Thomas “JB” Wilson and a sister, Deborah Wilson-McLilly. Visitation will be Sunday, December 4 from 2:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 4:00 p.m. at A New and Living Way Ministries, 1510 Cooper Foster Rd, Lorain, OH 44053. Burial will take place on Monday, December 5 at 9:00 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
