Naketta Marie Patterson (nee Moore), 45, of Atlanta Georgia, (formerly of Lorain, Ohio), passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 19, 2021 in Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. Naketta was born October 24, 1976 in Lorain, where she lived for over twenty years. She graduated from Lorain High School in 1995. After high school she attended JVS and received numerous certificates in the medical field as a STNA before she moved to Atlanta, Georgia and worked at Northside Hospital for many years. She was a former employee of T-Shirts and Moore, which is the family business. Before moving to Atlanta, Georgia she was a member of Cathedral of Praise in Lorain. She also was a member of The Ministry of New Life in Atlanta. Naketta was known for her compassionate heart. She was always willing to help by opening up her home for those who needed a place to stay while they were in transition. Every Wednesday she could be found feeding the homeless in downtown Atlanta. She enjoyed shopping at thrift stores, decorating, and spending time with family and friends. Naketta will be sadly missed by her husband, David Patterson; five children: Mariah of Clarksville, Tennessee, Laylah, twins Torrin and Toriano, and Jordan, all of College Park, Georgia; her mother, Rosalind Marie Moore, half-sisters Ashley, Alisha, and Aaliyah Norfus and half-brother Desmond Ross; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Naketta was preceded in death by her son Nehemiah Allen; her father, Arturo Toby Norfus; her paternal grandparents, Andrew and Doris Norfus and her maternal grandparents, Theodore Sr. and Carolyn Moore. A viewing will be held Thursday, December 30th from 9AM until time of service at 11AM at Cathedral of Praise Worship and Family Center, 4545 Elyria Ave, Lorain. Pastor, Bishop Melvin L. Brown will officiate. Social distancing and wearing a mask are required.
