Mary Alice Moye

Mary Alice Moye (affectionately known to most as M.A.), 84, of Lorain, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023 surrounded by her loving family, both near and far. She was born May 15, 1938 in Vidalia, Georgia and moved to the Lorain area in the 1940’s.Mary worked at Lorain Crown Steel before retiring in the 1990’s.  She was a life-long member of New Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Lorain, Ohio.  Outside of spending time with her family, Mary enjoyed cooking and was an avid bingo player. Mary will be sadly missed by her children, Russell Moye, Randy Moye (Lola), Patricia Moye, all of Lorain, Mary Ann Williams (née Crisp), of Cleveland, Ronald Crisp (Reyna), of Maplewood, Minnesota, Denise Crisp, of Cleveland, Marnina Williams (James), of Lorain, Helen Ballard (Undrae), of Westlake, her only sibling, George L. Moye (Ann), of Eagan, Minnesota, her best friend & bingo partner, Carol Patton, 27 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Luchian & Mary Virginia Moye and great-granddaughter, Avery Moore. Visitation will be Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 10AM until time of service at 11AM at Greater Victory Christian Ministries, 559 Reid Ave, Lorain.
