MarQuise DaShawn Weatherington

MarQuise DaShawn Weatherington, 32, of Lorain, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday December 7, 2023. He was born April 19, 1991, to Tomekea Weatherington. 

MarQuise lived most of his life as a resident of Lorain and attended Admiral King High School, working various jobs. He enjoyed watching basketball and football and loved going to see his brother Malik play basketball in high school.

MarQuise was strong-willed, and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. He loved to make people laugh. He would always go the extra mile to put a smile on someone's face, to the point of being known as a big jokester which we all had the pleasure of experiencing in one way or another.

He will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his family and friends. He truly loved each of them, and if you knew him, you knew it.

MarQuise shared with his mom the deep contemplation of his faith, and he came full circle in his beliefs and recently recommitted himself to Christ.

He is survived by his only son, whom he cherished, MarQuise Jr. of Lorain, his mother, Tomekea Weatherington (Mark Francis Sr) of Lorain, his brother, Malik Weatherington (Haylee Clark) of Girard, PA, stepbrother, Mark Francis Jr. of     Mulberry FL, and stepsisters, Candace Shannon and Victoria (Eli) DeLoSantos of Lorain, and beloved grandmother, Gloria Gage of Lorain, along with a host of other family members and friends.

MarQuise was preceded in death by his grandfather, David Tyrone Gage.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 23, 2023 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM at Church on the North Coast, 4125 N Leavitt Rd., Lorain OH 44053.
