Marque Y Williams

Marque Y. Williams, 43, of Louisville, Kentucky, formerly of Lorain, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023. He was born May 6, 1980 in Elyria, Ohio and resided in Louisville, KY for the past 19 years.

Marque graduated from Lorain Admiral King High School in 1999. He worked as a caregiver specializing in providing private care for senior citizens.

Marque was known as a friendly and kind person. He enjoyed barbecuing, watching sports, and setting off the fireworks on Fourth of July. One of his favorite pastimes was riding through the park in his old school car that he called “Big Shirley”.

Marque is survived by his companion, Chistinia Hovanitz of Louisville, KY; his three children, Marquezia Williams, Martaezia Williams, and Frankie Fields, all of Lorain; two stepsons, Alex Hovanitz and Eric Hovanitz, both of Louisville, KY; his mother, Royetta R Corlew, and his father, David Williams; his brothers, Steve Corlew, Greg Corlew, and David Thomas; and host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.

Marque was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mattie Thornton, Margaret Williams, Nathan Williams, and Roy Corlew. 

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 27, 2022 at 11a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at Living Word Church, 2002 E. 28 St. in Lorain.
