Marilyn Riley, 59, of Lorain, passed away following a lengthy illness on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Mercy Regional Medical Center. Marilyn was born August 16, 1962, in Lorain, where she was a lifelong resident. She retired as a longtime licensed practical nurse. She enjoyed baking, playing bingo, taking pictures, planting flowers, going on road trips, playing board and card games with her family and grandkids, listening to music, and watching movies. Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Shalonda L Riley; her father, Ulysses Riley; four grandchildren; one sister, Rosa Hall, and one brother, Robert Riley; a host of nieces and nephews and other loving relatives, including a longtime family friend, General Brown. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ella Riley; three sisters, Gloria Riley, Janice Riley and Elizabeth Riley-Mays, and a nephew, Mark Riley. A viewing will be held Monday, February 7, 2022, from 10AM until time of service at 11AM at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home, 2652 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain. Social distancing and wearing a mask are required.
