Mariella Anne Worthy, known to most as “Citas” or “Wooty”, age 2 years old, went home to be with the Father on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Rainbow Babies and Childrens Hospital in Cleveland. She was born April 20, 2021, in Lorain, Ohio to parents Anthony Worthy, Jr. and Billie Kopp. Not only was she beautiful with a sassy personality, but she was also brave in her 14-month fight against cancer. She transitioned peacefully surrounded by family and friends.
She loved watching cartoons, Anna & Elsa, SuperKitties, painting and dancing. Her favorite songs were “Paws Out, Claws Out” and the Paw Patrol theme song. She lit up any room and most found it difficult to tell her “No”. She was the pride and joy of her family and even though her time here was short, she made a huge impact on all who knew her.
Mariella will be greatly missed by her parents; brothers Anthony “TJ” Worthy III and Armani Worthy of Lorain; grandparents Anthony and Julie Worthy of Lorain; Billy Kopp of Lorain, and Rebeca Cantrell (Jack) of Vero Beach, Florida; aunts Samantha Worthy and DeAnna Lovejoy of Lorain and Nicole White of Chattanooga, Tennessee; uncles Dorian Kopp and Michael Kopp (Haley) of Lorain, Marcus Pendleton and a host of cousins and friends.
A viewing will begin at 11am followed by a Celebration of Life at 12pm on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at God’s Believers in Christ Church, 520 W.22nd St, Lorain. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, 555 North Ridge Rd., Lorain.
The family requests those attending wear pink, Mariella’s favorite color.
