Lt. Lance M. Glover Sr., 52, of Lorain, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at UH Elyria Medical Center. He was born May 26, 1969 in Lorain and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Southview High School in Lorain in 1987. Immediately following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served in Desert Storm. After his honorable discharge he enlisted in the Army National Guard. He later entered into the correctional field where he served as a Correctional Officer for over 20 years. He leaves to cherish his memory three daughters, La'Tosha M. Glover, LaNa'ysia M. Glover, LaTrice M. Williams; his only son, Lance M. Glover Jr.; seven grandchildren; his beloved dog, TuPac; his six brothers, Cenu R. Glover, Gary J. Glover (Meletha Campbell), Lorenzo E. Glover, Milo C. Glover, Craig D. Glover and Ernest D. Glover III (Stephanie Rush-Glover); three sisters, Linda K. Glover Capers, Debra J. Glover and Patricia A. Glover; a host other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie M. Butler Glover and his father, Ernest D. Glover II and his niece, Ahneva S. Glover-Rodriguez. A public walk-through will be held Thursday, August 26, from 10 a.m. until time of private family services at 11 a.m. at Second Baptist Church, 300 W. 13th St, Lorain. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273, where military honors will be performed.
