Leonard Anthony McCall Jr

Leonard Anthony McCall Jr., 39, of Lorain, departed from his earthly home on Monday, November 25, 2024. He was born Thursday, April 18, 1985, to Sheila (Smith) Moore and Leonard Anthony McCall Sr. 

Leonard Jr. was a graduate of Southview High School, Class of 2003. Upon completion of high school, he went on to study Business Management at Lorain County Community College. In his adolescence years he excelled in multiple sports which include basketball, wrestling, baseball, and football.  

Leonard Jr. was known among his family, as well as his peers, to bring everyone together with high importance to his children. He knew the true meaning of “Strive For Greatness” amidst any circumstance. Entering every room with a smile, drink, and dominoes to celebrate and encourage great memories and laughter among all. A spirit of his magnitude was unmatched and highly respected. Never to forget his unforgettable laugh and keen sense of humor. He enjoyed going to the beach, playing dominoes, cards, poker, sports, betting, dancing, laughing, making TikTok’s with his kids and traveling. His children were always his first priority. 

Leonard Jr. leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Sheila (Corey) Moore of Lorain and his father Leonard (Sholanda) McCall Sr of Lorain; his five sons, Leonard McCall III, Anthony McCall, Bryce McCall, Mark Riley and Markell Riley, all of Lorain; his three daughters, Dream Drayton of Florida, Destiny McCall and Brit Lynn McCall of Lorain; his five sisters, Taylor Moore, Kinesia Thorpe, Kandis Thorpe, Makhia McCall and Alexis Charlton, all of Lorain; his eleven brothers, Antoine (Whitney) McCall and Antonio McCall, both of Kentucky, Ramando Smith, Marquay McCall, Malik McCall, Koal McCall, Michael Smith, Anthony Smith, Artareus Smith, Antonio Smith and Fredd Nelson, all of Lorain; his bonus parents, Jackie (Jaski) Lewis and Romando (Guy) Smith; his bonus grandmother, Josephine Smith; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; a lifetime companion of 17 years, Brittany Horn. 

Leonard was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Flynn and Ivory Smith, Ron and Barb Moore; paternal grandparents, Edward and Louise McCall; two brothers, Kacy Thorpe and Marquis McCall; two uncles, Jimmy Smith and Edward McCall Jr; one aunt, Mary Smith. 

Visitation will be held Friday, December 13, 2024, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home and Celebration Center, 6075 Middle Ridge Road, Lorain OH 44053. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 10 a.m. at House of Praise International Church, 4321 Elyria Ave, Lorain OH 44055. Bishop Charles Howard of God's Kingdom will officiate. The burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
