He was born February 27,1962, in Elyria to Nettie Mae Jackson and Willie Hollis Sr. He was a 1981 graduate of Southview High School and a graduate of Ohio Business College. When he wasn’t caring for his plants and kittens, he was on the airwaves of Power 93.7 FM WSAV L.P. providing great gospel sounds or preparing delicious meals for everyone to enjoy. Lyle began his career in gospel music under the leadership of the late Sally Ratliff, and “The Wonder Lady”, Nettie Mae Jackson by answering the phone for the Sound in Gospel program. He also volunteered for the late Irene Starks, Lillie Mae Graham, Bro. L.T. Henry and Mattie Bright for the Friendly Promoter Club. He later joined gospel great legacy leaders James Taylor, Clarence Ballard, Curtis Brisby and Henry Dunn on WJTB 1040. In April 2016 Lyle was asked by Bishop Peter G. Tower to join Power 93.7 FM WSAV L.P. The North coast best in gospel music, where he was the conductor of the gospel train and best known for his gospel siren daily.
