Johnny L. Brown, 75, of Lorain, passed away at home on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 following a lengthy illness. He was born October 10, 1946 in Epes, Alabama, moving to Lorain in 1969. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service. He then started JB Hauling, doing hauling for landscaping companies. His enjoyment was classic cars and motorcycles. He was one the founding members of the Sophisticated Gents Motorcycle Club. He leaves to cherish his memory, a wife of 36 years, Rosemary Anne Brown; daughters, DeEdra Brown Young and Audrianna ‘Trina’ (Delmus) Black, of Birmingham Alabama; sons, Rodric (Christina) Beard and Willie Pettyjohn of Lorain, Ohio; brothers, William Charles ‘Sonny’ Brown of Orlando, Florida, Arthur (Alfredia) Brown of Peoria, Arizona; Stanley (Mona) Brown of Birmingham, Alabama and Reginald Brown of Stone Mountain, Georgia; special family friend Kevin Barbee of Stone Mountain; sisters, Jewel (Robert) Taite of Pinson, Alabama, Sandra Porter of Orlando, Florida and Jacqueline (Mark) Hughes of Dallas, Georgia; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and other loving family and friends. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Elizabeth Brown and sisters, Bertha White and Patricia Studdard, and paternal grandmother, Bertha Dancy. A viewing will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. at Faith Ministries Christian Center, 1306 Euclid Ave, Lorain. Burial will be Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst. Wearing a mask is recommended.
