John York

John York, 52, of Lorain, transitioned from this life on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Cleveland Clinic’s main campus following a lengthy illness

John was born in Monongahela, Pennsylvania to the union of John and Diallas York, July 29, 1970.

John moved to Lorain, Ohio in 1988 and attended Lorain High School where he joined the band and was an outstanding drum player. John enjoyed all sports, but favored the Steelers. John loved to travel to Florida where he would spend time with his friends.

John loved to work with his hands putting things together. He worked construction and worked at the turnpike.

John was preceded in death by his father, John; his grandparents, Lyle and Martha Smith, and Jacob and Lurvernie Taylor.

John leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and caring mother, Diallas York; a host of aunts, uncles, and other family members and friends.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 11AM until time of services at Noon at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home, 2652 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Pastor Loversier Lewis of Second Baptist Church of Lorain will officiate.
