Jack Wesley Patton Sr

Jack Wesley Patton Sr., age 81, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 27, 2024. He was a long-time resident of Elyria, Ohio and later moved to Sacramento, California for 22 years and then moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, where he resided during his passing.  

He graduated from Elyria High School, Lorain Community College, and Kent State University. He studied math and minored in English. He was very intelligent and had a passion for education. He worked 18 years at US Steel and then moved to Masonry. After many years as a mason, he changed careers and became an educator. He taught for 12 years at Lorain County JVS and California State where he retired.   

He was an amazing, dedicated and loving father and grandfather. He had a strong belief and faith in God. He attended Harvest House Church in California and Multiply Church in North Carolina.  

A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral service at Noon on Monday, December 9, 2024, at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home & Celebration Center, 6075 Middle Ridge Road, Lorain, OH 44053. He will be laid to rest at Westwood Cemetery, 455 Morgan Street, Oberlin, Ohio 44074, immediately following the service.
