Isaiah Montrel Barnes

Isaiah Montrel Barnes, of Lorain, Ohio, transitioned from this earthy life to be eternally with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. Isaiah was born on Friday, June 8, 2007 in Lorain. He enjoyed playing video games, fishing, making people laugh, playing football and pranking people. He finished the 8th grade at General Johnnie Wilson Middle School and was excited go to 9th grade at Lorain High School. Isaiah will be sadly missed by his mother, Nikishia Barnes and his father, John Hitchens; his siblings: a sister, Quenisha Barnes of Chicago, IL and brothers, Davonte Barnes and Tre’von Jackson, both of Lorain, OH and Rayshawn Barnes of Birmingham, AL; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Isaiah was preceded in death by his grandmother, Evangelist Betty Rice and grandfather, Melvin Barnes; cousins Janice Hitchens, Wanda Hitchens-Moon and Maurice Hitchens. A viewing will be held Monday, June 13, 2022 from 10am until time of funeral service at 11am at Living Word Church, 2002 E. 28th St., Lorain OH 44055. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain.
