Eddie Lamar Kimbrough

EDDIE L. KIMBROUGH was born on Sunday, May 29, 1960, in Lorain Ohio. He was the son of James and Rosa Kimbrough, and the brother of Sharon, James “Pete”, and Debbie. 

Eddie loved his family very much, and his family loved him tremendously. He read his Daily Bread devotional every morning, and always tried to do kind things for others. He was resilient, strong, kind and so very loving. He will be missed. 

He was a landscaper and loved to garden and plant flowers. He enjoyed watching sports, cooking (especially grilling), riding bicycles and playing basketball. Eddie loved being involved with children. It was not uncommon for him to gather a group of his kids, nieces, nephews, and any other children in the neighborhood, together to set up ad-hoc baseball tournaments. He loved to stay physically active, and it was important for others, especially the children, to stay that way as well.

Eddie’s life journey ended on Saturday, September 21, 2024, after a lengthy battle with leukemia. He had a complete understanding of the prognosis given to him by his doctors. However, he accepted his fate, and knew that everything was entirely in the hands of his Heavenly Father. Now, he is resting comfortably in His care.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Sanford. He leaves to cherish his memory two loving daughters, Jazmin and Mariah Rodriguez; parents James and Rosa Kimbrough; brother James (Cheryl) Kimbrough, sister Debbie (Melvin) Jones; grandchildren Aalyiah, Azjah, Damani, Rey’niya, Ariya and Brooklyn; a host of nieces, nephews, friends and special friend, Angela Alvarez.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 11 AM until the time of his funeral service at12 PM, at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home & Celebration Center, 6075 Middle Ridge Road, Lorain OH 44053.
