Duncan Aaron Walker

Duncan Aaron Walker, 65, of Lorain, received his heavenly wings on February 5th, 2025, at 2:38pm at The University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. Duncan was born on September 4th, 1959, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lorain. 

Duncan was baptized and received Christ as his personal Savior at a young age. He was a member of New Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Youth Choir. 

Duncan attended Lakeview Elementary School, Irving Jr High School and Lorain High School where he graduated in 1978. He also attended Bluffton College where he majored in Business Administration. After college, he was employed at Fligner’s Meat Market for 15 years. He also worked at C.E.I. in Avon Lake, Ohio for 8 years, and at United States Steel for 10 years. 

Duncan loved sports; he played basketball and football during his school years. His favorite sport was baseball, and was an above-average player. He played for several Little League teams, and in high school as well. 

Duncan’s hobbies were puzzles and collecting baseball, basketball & football cards. He loved watching cartoons and collecting comic books. He loved music, and his favorite TV shows were, “The Little Rascals”, “Sanford & Son”, “Star Trek”, and detective shows. He loved watching sports, especially Wresting (W.W.E & W.W.F.). Macho Man (Randy Savage) was his favorite wrestler. 

Duncan had a passion for people. If he saw that you needed assistance he would stop to lend a hand. He was always smiling or grinning.  

Duncan is survived by his two brothers, Henry Walker Jr., and Nathaniel “Nate” Walker; his two sisters, Pamela Madden of Cleveland, Ohio, and Kristie Lea Duffy; his daughter, Brittney Walker; longtime companion of 30 years, Gayle Garbo; his three step-brothers, Raymond Young, Jr., Wilkins Young, and John Duffy; his step-sister, Lora Duffy; his step-mother, Marlene Francis Duffy; his five nieces, Gwendolyn Harris, Shamara Walker, Myra Walker, Melissa Wilson Driver, and Melanie Harris; six grandchildren, Skylar Walker, Noah Lopez, Isabella Alvardo, Giovanni Alvarado, Delilah Timko, and Myles Timko; his three nephews, Demonte Kennerly, Phillip Williams, and Jason Madden; special friends, Jackie (Rabbitt) Watson, Herman Burris, B-Boy Henderson, Delibra Lovett, Cheri Wilson-Jenkins, Shirley Pruitt Jennings, and Harry Jennings; a host of cousins, friends and the Ted Jacobs Family. 

Duncan was preceded in death by his father, Henry Walker, Sr.; his mother, Lillie Mae Walker-Young; his step-father, Raymond Young, Sr.; his sister, Annette Williams; his step-brother, Darrell Duffy; and his step-sister, Marla Duffy. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 12:00 P.M. at New Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, 3880 Dayton Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052. Rev. Tyrone Holley, Pastor, will officiate the service.
