Diana Marie Evans, 68, of Lorain, Ohio, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021, after a three-month battle with brain cancer, and on the fourth anniversary of the passing of her son, Richard E. Chandler. Diana worked as an RN at various hospitals in Jacksonville, Florida until her retirement in 2016. Diana was an avid gardener and loved being in the midst of her flower garden, hummingbirds and butterflies. She loved taking her dog, Penny, for walks everyday to see the deer and loved to go to the beach. She was an outgoing soul and would talk to anyone she met. Diana loved to dress up and was known for wearing mismatched socks and fancy hats. Diana was preceded in death by her son, Richard E. Chandler, granddaughter Angel Chandler, brothers Enrique (Tony) Carrero, Robert Evans and Thompson Evans. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Chandler, grandsons Alex Chandler, Tyler Chandler and Derek Chandler, sisters Ruth Buccilli (Larry), Ramona Brown (David), Kathleen Carrero Discenzo, Loretta Warren (Thomas), brothers William Carrero (Kelly) and Donato (David) Carrero (Melinda) and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at Brown Robinson Funeral Home, 2652 Broadway Ave in Lorain on Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 2-4pm. The family requests friends to come and share happy memories of Diana.
