Brian Edwin Todd Jr

Brian Edwin Todd, Jr, 16, of Elyria, passed away May 25, 2024, in MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland. Also known as ‘BJ,’ Brian was born July 30, 2007 in Elyria where he had lived all his life.

Brian was an outstanding student and athlete at Elyria High School where he played football as a linebacker, and basketball as a forward. He also attended the Early College program at LCCC. He was a scholar student who was preparing to be inducted into the National Honor Society. He was a life member of the NAACP Metro Central Branch and was a member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church of Elyria.

Brian enjoyed playing video games, axe throwing, building things with Legos, and collecting shoes.

Brian will be sadly missed by his parents, Brian Sr. and Lesli Todd (née White); his sisters, Maya Todd and Zarria Todd; his paternal grandparents, Jerry and Laverne Oliver; maternal grandparents, Alex and Regina Shockley; his aunts, Charnele Oliver, Eboni Green, and Regan (Steve) Phillips; his uncles, Lamont Oliver and Keith Oliver; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Brian was preceded into death by his uncle, Lester White Junior; his paternal great grandparents, Edward and Delphine Todd, and his maternal great grandparents, John Elliott and Nettie Mae Jackson.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 10AM until time of his funeral service at 11AM at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 632 W River Rd N, Elyria. Reverend Calvin Currie will officiate the service.
