Beverly D Bennett

Beverly Diane Bennett, 74, of Lorain, passed away Monday, April 15, 2024, in Mercy Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

Beverly was born July 28, 1949, in Elyria, Ohio and had been a lifelong resident of Lorain. She was a member of Cathedral of Praise Worship & Family Center, where she served in the greeters’ ministry.

Beverly was known for her sweet, quiet spirit. She enjoyed decorating, cooking, baking, and taking care of plants and flowers.

Beverly is survived by one sister, Ethelia Bryant; her stepchildren, Donald (Trellas) Bennett Jr, Thomas Bennett, and Gary (Ishika) Bennett; a host of grandchildren; a special niece whom she treated like her own daughter, Desiree Olivia Williams; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bennett Sr; stepdaughter, Patricia Jackson-Stone; her parents, Oscar L. and Beulah (nee Stephens) Woods; a sister, Gladys (nee Woods) Hickmon; and brothers, Charles, Oscar, Adelbert, Clinto, Clayton, Eartha, Delano, Ronald, and Raymond Woods.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 10AM until time of service at 11AM at Cathedral of Praise Worship & Family Center, 4545 Elyria Ave., Lorain OH 44055, where the Pastor Bishop Melvin Brown will be officiating.
