Anthony Lee Coleman

Anthony Lee Coleman was born to Willie “Buck” Coleman and Louise Coleman on January 17, 1960, in Elyria, Ohio. He was one of six children.  

Anthony was a graduate of Elyria West High School and attended Bowling Green State University for a time. Later, he joined the United States Army, where he served for several years, and received an Honorable Discharge.  

Upon leaving the Army, Anthony worked for the family business, I-A Cement Contractors, for many years with his father until he moved out-of-state.  

His favorite sports were basketball and baseball, and his favorite pastime was cooking barbeque ribs for his family and friends.  

Blessed with 64 years of life, our beloved Anthony Lee Coleman was unexpectedly called from this earthly life to the reward of eternal life on Thursday, December 26, 2024.  

Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Louise Coleman; three siblings, Daisy Victoria Hill, James Coleman, and Deborah Ann Coleman.  

He will be sadly missed by two sons, Nicholas Hines and James Anthony Coleman; a daughter, Reva Ann Louise Coleman; two brothers, Willie Coleman Jr. (Fannie) and David Thomas; two special aunts, Lillian Statum and Helen Edwards; four grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. 

Visitation will be Friday, January 10, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of his service at 11 a.m. at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home & Celebration Center, 6075 Middle Ridge Rd., Lorain, OH 44053.
