Alexis Nicole Vaughn

Alexis Nicole Vaughn, 26, of Lorain, gained her wings on August 22, 2021. She was born June 10, 1995 at Amherst Hospital and had been a lifelong resident of Lorain. Alexis graduated from Lorain High School in 2013. She attended Ross Medical Center and graduated with her Medical Assistant degree in 2018. Alexis worked at Dollar General in Sheffield Village and later North Coast Bearings in Avon Lake. Alexis was a quiet young lady but had a beautiful smile that could light up a room. She was very gentle and kind. She was an animal lover, enjoyed making dolls and painting sneakers and sandals. For many years she took pride in doing her grandmother’s nails and eventually began to do her family and friends hair, nails and makeup. Alexis also was very technological savvy. She knew everything about computers, smart phones and tablets. Alexis is survived by her mother, Tamarie (Smith) Vaughn and father, Alex Vaughn and sister, Andrea Vaugh of Lorain; great aunt, Bertha Davis, aunts, Trina Smith and Drema (Herbert) Hagwood of Sheffield Village. Alexis was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Tobitha Smith and George Smith; paternal grandparents, Alex Vaughn, Addie Vaughn, and Connie Young. A walk-through viewing will be Monday, August 30, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home, 2652 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Pastor Tondia Vilyus of True Praise & Deliverance Ministries will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst. Social distancing and wearing a mask are required.
