Adrian Lee Thomas Sr

Adrian Lee Thomas Sr, 52, was born March 13, 1972, in Lorain, Ohio, and was a lifelong resident. He departed this life on Sunday, March 31, 2024, after a lengthy illness. 

After graduating from Clearview High School and JVS in 1990, he joined the U.S. Army and served eight years as a cook. He received many certificates and awards for his service.

While serving in the Army he married Nichol Jackson and had two sons: Adrian Jr. and Derreck. Years later he married Kelly Wooten, and they spent over 15 years together.

Adrian was a baptized man of faith and attended many churches. During his lifetime he was a Cub Scout and played baseball for Lorain National Bank. He also participated in the Save Our Sons Organization. 

He was a hard worker, juggling two jobs most of the time. He had worked at Invacare, Emerson‘s, Jenne Distributors, and Dave & Buster’s, just to name a few. His favorite job was being a tow motor operator. 

Adrian loved sports, and his favorite teams were the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was an avid darts player, a golf enthusiast, and enjoyed spending time at the Jack.

Adrian is survived by his two sons, Adrian Jr., and Derreck; his mother, Arlene (Ware) Thomas; two brothers, Sean Ware and Nathaniel Thomas Jr.; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

He was preceded in the death by his father, Nathaniel Thomas Sr., paternal grandparents, James and Jeanette Thomas, and maternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Ware.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 6, from 11am until the time of service at 12pm at Living Word Church, 2002 E. 28th St., Lorain OH. Bishop Rodney Thomas of Body of Christ Church will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
